Foundation Document Viewer // Contextual Amnestics Policy
Believe it or not, you've most likely read this before (hence the vague déjà-vu)! This is The Foundation's policy on Contextual Amnestics and the therapy that is typically associated with it. This can be a little disorienting, and that is completely normal. This is why we believe that the most accepted approach to the recent exposure to amnestics is to deliver this policy in a friendly way each and every time. Typically, the amnestics exposure video is shown in place of this text, but in cases where the video is unavailable, this is what is showed. Now, outward and onward to the policy at hand.
To get an idea of what amnestics, let alone contextual amnestics, is, we must first dive into the ship-in-a-bottle that is the human mind. A vast and expansive place, the human mind houses the seat of consciousness with its subsequent areas of memory and cognition. As you may have guessed, your work anywhere, let alone here, requires a functioning memory. We mean, think about it, without a memory, you wouldn't be able to remember how to walk, or add numbers, or even exist! Memory is but one facet of the conscious experience and a necessary evil that The Foundation must address.
Memory is something complex, and but a yin of the yin-yang of consciousness. We, in the past, have had to wipe out entire chunks of memory in the process of delivering amnestics, but this is not the reality we face today. This is why you may feel a gap in between your conscious experience and memory. You may feel a fuzziness where a memory we have deemed too critical once was. You may poke and prod at it all you want, but there is simply fresh neural growth there, and it will soon be reassigned as a new memory. Don't be alarmed though, as the procedure was painless, and the procedure has been done countless times on employees just like you! For obvious reasons, you are not permitted to know the process in which we address the "deletion" of memories, but do know that the memories are safe with us!
The Foundation employs the use of amnestics to maintain the S.C.P. triad and more importantly, to maintain your own status quo. You most likely saw something you were not meant to see, such as a confusing object, or a devious individual, and the fact you saw whatever it was you saw warranted the alteration of your memories. It is in your best interest that we did as exposure to such things can cause, and is not limited to:
Administering amnestics ensures that the exposure to something you were not meant to be exposed to does not affect your current or future work here at The Foundation.
During your exposure to the amnestics, you underwent what is known as Contextual Amnestics Therapy, or CAT for short. CAT is the catalyst which allows us to precisely pick what memories are altered. Think of it like an eye dropping of paint compared to our old method of pouring the whole bucket of paint over the memory. But your feeling woozy, uneasy, and possibly annoyed, and like we understood before, this is normal! Your local site's medical department has the solution to these discomforts. A specialized blend of cognitive pain relievers that will alleviate anxiety and stress. We will taper you off after 2 days, and you will adhere to the dosage schedule as you've agreed to in your Medical Treatment Consent Form.
